Lekhraj Birdy was admitted as solicitor in October 1979.
He worked in a general practice before moving into the City where he gained experience in Commercial Litigation and Commercial Conveyancing. Since starting the practice Mr. Birdy has had extensive experience in Personal Injury, Commercial Conveyancing, Landlord & Tenant, Immigration, Family/Children’s matters. He is a member of the Law Society Family Law Panel and of Resolution. Resolution was previously known as Solicitors Family Law Association. Both of these organisations recognise the specialism of their members in Family law.
Mr Birdy has for many years been providing voluntary legal services to number of voluntary organisations, particularly Temples, Gurudwaras and organisations dealing with domestic violence. He is also regularly involved in raising funds for charities.
Mr Birdy has been involved in high profile cases, some of which set precedents in law. The most famous one being the case of Memon –v– Manel in 2001 in Court of Appeal. He has also been involved in other cases which went to the Court of Appeal.
