The firm was established in May 1984 by Mr Lekh Raj Birdy.

We have built our practice by often exceeding our clients’ expectations and maintaining high standards to allow us to serve our broad client base. We pride ourselves in providing a personal and Professional service.

We undertake both private and Public Funded (Legal Aid) cases. We accept instructions from private and commercial clients. We have developed and expanded mainly through personal recommendations. Since this firm was established, we have acted for individuals and Company clients. We have also acted for Noble clients, Charitable Organisations and clients from diverse ethnic origins and social backgrounds. We have assisted in the formation of Charities and have acted for some, including religious organisations, particularly in disputes relating to the running and administration of Charities.

We recognise the fact that to each client his case is important, irrespective of the amount of money or issues involved. We will work with you to achieve your goal as quickly and economically as possible. Our role is to advise and not dictate to you. We believe that it is more effective to explain to a client, in plain and jargon free language, about his rights and remedies and how to achieve them. The final decision is left to the client. After all, no one is in a better position to make a decision for a client than the client himself.

We have been providing voluntary service to voluntary organisations throughout almost the entire period of our existence. We undertake Legal Aid work in the Family category only. We are therefore able to make decisions such as granting or refusing Public Funding. We have chosen to retain franchise in this category only.  We do not believe that the quality of service provided to a Legally Aided client should be inferior to that provided to a private paying client.

Some of our staff are Members of the Law Society Family Law Panel and Resolution, which was previously Solicitors Family Law Association.
